National Informatics Centre (NIC) has released a recruitment notification for the post of Scientific/Technical Assistant-A. A total of 376 vacancies are to be filled through direct recruitment. The application process will commence on September 1, 2026, and conclude on September 30, 2026.

  • Maximum Age : 40 Years
  • Age relaxation for SC, ST, OBC (NCL) and PwBD candidates as per Government orders. Age relaxation for PwBD candidate is applicable irrespective of whether the post is reserved for them or not, provided the post is identified suitable for them.
Educational Qualification
  • Valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score of 2024/2025/2026 in the relevant test paper.
  • Essential Qualification as per Table-IV on the closing date.
  • No Experience Required.

Selection Process
1 Merit list shall be prepared based on valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score of 2024/2025/2026.
2 Candidates shortlisted shall be called for document verification.
3 Provisional appointment subject to successful completion of documents verification.
