Educational Qualification
- A Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical) or Diploma in Automobile Engineering from the Technical Examination Board, a recognized university established under a Central or State Act, or an institution deemed to be a university under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.
- Basic knowledge of computer applications as prescribed under the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
- Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi, or both.
- Citizen of India or possess the nationality specified under Rule-7 of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.

- गुजरात सिविल सेवा वर्गीकरण और भर्ती (सामान्य) नियम, 1967 के तहत निर्धारित कंप्यूटर अनुप्रयोगों का बुनियादी ज्ञान।
- गुजराती या हिंदी, या दोनों का पर्याप्त ज्ञान।
- भारत का नागरिक हो या गुजरात सिविल सेवा वर्गीकरण और भर्ती (सामान्य) नियम, 1967 के नियम-7 के तहत निर्दिष्ट राष्ट्रीयता रखता हो।

The exam consists of a total of 210 questions to be completed in a combined duration of 3 hours (180 minutes). Negative marking applies: for every wrong answer, 1/4th of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted. Separate minimum qualifying standards of 40% apply to both Part-A and Part-B for all categories of candidates.
How To Apply Online
आवेदन कैसे करें
1 Visit the official website https://ojas.gujarat.gov.in.
2 Click on "Apply" under the Online Application section and select GSSSB.
3 Locate Advertisement No. 419/202627 (Assistant Engineer Mechanical, Class-3), click on the cadre name, then click Apply.
4 Review the "More Details" option to read the complete advertisement before proceeding.
5 Click on Apply Now, then "Skip" to open the Application Format and fill in the Personal Details (fields marked with a red asterisk are mandatory).
6 Fill in the Educational Details section after completing Personal Details.
7 Accept the terms under the "Assurance" section by selecting "Yes" and click Save to complete the application. Note down the generated Application Number.
8 Upload your photograph and signature: photo should be 5 cm height x 3.6 cm width, and signature should be 2.5 cm height x 7.5 cm width, both in JPG format not exceeding 15 KB. The photo must have a white background and must not be older than one year from the last date of application.
9 Click on "Confirm Application" under the Online Application tab, enter your Application Number and Date of Birth, review the details, and confirm only after thorough verification, since no changes are allowed after confirmation. A Confirmation Number will be generated, which must be saved carefully.
10 Use "Print Application" to download and save a copy of the confirmed application form using your Confirmation Number and Date of Birth before the last date.
11 A candidate should submit only one application. If multiple applications are submitted, only the last confirmed application with the requisite fee paid will be considered valid, and fees paid against earlier applications will not be adjusted or refunded.
