Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit
- Minimum Age : 18 Years
- Maximum Age : 24 Years
- Age relaxation as per Govt rules: SC/ST +5 yrs, OBC +3 yrs, PwBD +10 yrs. Further relaxation for PwBD-SC/ST (+5 yrs) and PwBD-OBC(NCL) (+3 yrs).
Educational Qualification
- 3 years B.Sc (Maths, Physics, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry) for Trade Apprentice - Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) Discipline - Chemical (Code 101) and Trade Apprentice (Boiler) Discipline - Mechanical (Code 103).
- 3 years Diploma in Chemical Engg./Petrochemical Engg./Chemical Technology / Refinery and Petrochemical Engg. for Technician Apprentice Discipline Chemical (Code 104).
- 3 years Diploma in Instrumentation Engg/ Instrumentation & Electronics/ Instrumentation & Control Engg, / Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering for Technician Apprentice Discipline- Instrumentation (Code 107).
- Minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST and PwBD category candidates for the seats reserved for them) in aggregate for the prescribed qualification.
- Qualification must be from a recognized Board/University/Institute as a regular full time course.
- Candidates whose result of the qualifying examination is awaited as on date of reckoning eligibility criteria are not eligible to apply.
- Candidates possessing Diploma in Engineering in relevant trade / discipline under recognized lateral entry scheme (Class-XII (Sc.)/ ITI admitted in 2nd year of Diploma course) shall also be considered eligible.
- Candidates holding a qualification acquired through part-time/correspondence/distance education mode are not eligible.
- Candidates possessing higher professional qualifications such as BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA or any such equivalent qualification or pursuing higher qualification and having completed the same on or before joining apprenticeship training, shall not be eligible.
- Candidates who have completed five years after acquiring the prescribed qualification as on date of reckoning eligibility criteria shall also not be eligible.
- A candidate with B.Sc. (Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry) will be allowed to apply for only one Trade/Discipline (either for code 101, 103 or 108).
- Candidates applying for more than one Trade/Discipline will not be considered and their applications will be summarily rejected.

Selection Process
1 No Written Test.
2 Selection shall be on the basis of percentage of marks in descending order (aggregate of marks of all subjects of all years/semesters will be considered for eligibility) obtained in the prescribed qualification.
3 Preference shall be given to candidates applying for apprenticeship training for the first time.
4 In case of tie, date of birth (senior by age) shall be the factor to be considered. If date of birth is same, candidates having a higher percentage of marks in Matriculation shall be considered.
5 Document Verification.
6 Pre-Engagement Medical Fitness.
There shall be No Written Test.
