The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has released Advertisement No. 05/2025 for the recruitment of Assistant Teacher (Primary) posts. A total of 1180 vacancies are available across the Directorate of Education and New Delhi Municipal Council, with online applications accepted from September 17, 2025, to October 16, 2025.

Post Name Eligibility / Qualification
All Posts • Candidate must be a citizen of India.
All Posts • Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by CBSE.
All Posts • Must have passed Hindi as a subject at Secondary level (for Directorate of Education) or 10th class (for New Delhi Municipal Council).
For Directorate of Education • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education OR 45% marks as per NCTE regulations OR 50% marks and 4 years B.El.Ed. OR 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR Graduation and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education.
For New Delhi Municipal Council • 12th pass with 50% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST) and 2 years Diploma in Primary Education / Certificate Course in ETE / JBT / DIET / B.El.Ed. from a recognized institution. Computer Knowledge is desirable.

Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) answer. Minimum Qualifying Marks: Applicable only in Section-B (General/EWS: 40%, OBC (Delhi): 35%, SC/ST/PH (PwBD): 30%, Ex-servicemen: 5% relaxation subject to min 30%). No minimum qualifying marks in Section-A. Combined marks of Section-A and Section-B will be reckoned for final merit list.
